This new hair salon interior in an existing storefront in the Rockridge area of Oakland included both design and implementation services on a very limited budget. Bold colors, signage, lighting, custom work stations, mirrors, and furnishings were used to achieve a dramatically eye-catching storefront. The existing two-tone turquoise floor tile was cleaned and waxed, a new angled plane was fashioned to support the existing mezzanine, and similarly shaped new aluminum legs were fabricated for an existing glass display cabinet. A large pink Warhol print of Marilyn Monroe hangs high on a wall, beckoning to pedestrians and other traffic on this busy Bay Area street.
